The weather seems to, finally, be cooperating.  Chance of showers and thundershowers ending by mid-morning tomorrow and conditions improving through the weekend.  Winds SW to WNW anywhere from 4-8 depending on which weather service you look at.  Gust velocities also vary from one service to the next.

All in all it looks like a good weekend for racing.  I hope you all received you Sailing Instructions last week; if not, I have some extras printed out.  See you at the skippers meeting 10:00 A.M. on the veranda.

The 2009 Sardis Cup Regatta has been postponed.  The new dates are Sept. 26-27.

The weather just wasn’t cooperative.  The current long range forecast still has chance of rain for next weekend but no thunderstorms.  That is 8 and 9 days out and could change.

The Annual Skipper Bud’s Sardis Cup Regatta is coming up.  We will be meeting on the veranda Saturday Sept. 5 at 11:00 to discuss arrangements and schedule.  Charley and I are going to try to have some sort of  “Introduction to Racing” presentation for the benefit of those who have never raced before.

We also need to move forward with our organizational efforts such as meeting schedule, officers, dues etc.  Not that we expect to accomplish all this but we need to move some water under the hull so to speak.
